VITICULTURE
Respecting the Terroir
Château Cambon cultivates 16 hectares of vineyards with particular attention to the environment. No chemical fertilizers are used, in order to preserve the natural balance of the soil and promote its vitality. This approach respects the terroir while maintaining living soils, which are essential for expressing the vineyard’s unique characteristics.

At the Heart of the Crus
Located in close proximity to the Morgon appellation, Château Cambon benefits from a great diversity of terroirs. The plots rest on granitic sands, clay, or schist soils, offering a variety of conditions ideal for cultivating Gamay and crafting wines that reflect their origins.
The vines, with an average age of around 60 years, bear witness to a rich history and a precious heritage. Among them is a centenarian plot, planted in 1914, which embodies a significant chapter of history. At that time, while the men were on the frontlines of the First World War, it was the women who took over and ensured the planting of these vines—a living legacy that continues to yield exceptional grapes. This connection to the past gives Château Cambon a unique soul, where tradition intertwines with a deep respect for nature and history.
